Starting in 1979 Dr. Hendrik Wahl studied to become an engineer focussing on materials science pertinent to electrical engineering at the Friedrich-Alexander- University of Erlangen/Nuremberg. He graduated in 1985 and earned his doctorate in 1988 on the topic of electromechanical transducers in a research laboratory for surface wave filters with Siemens AG in Munich.

Mr. Wahl has been active in field of intellectual property rights since 1988. After training to become a patent attorney he became an accredited German Patent Attorney in 1991 and a European Patent Attorney in 1992, the year in which he commenced work with the Office of Zipse Habersack, becoming a partner thereto in 1993. Dr. Hendrik Wahl began studying for a master's degree in mediation at the Hagen distance learning university in 2005 which he successfully concluded in 2007 to become “Master of Mediation”.

His technical expertise is focussed on electrical engineering, control engineering, telecommunications, semiconductor technology, conveyor/elevator systems and paper-/textile production.
